Lol, just joshing. I really enjoyed painting this with standard Derwent watercolor pencils, and a little help from graphite, too. Painted the background in afterward with some blue watercolor paint that was leftover on my palette (I think it was cobalt blue), and I’m happy with the way it turned out. Spent some time sketching outside today, and hope to share some of that artwork with you this week. (I wish I’d have seen this guy outside, but alas, he’d die fast if he lived out here.)
Happy Spring Monday. Enjoy it, wherever you are. There’s bound to be something beautiful about this day that could wind up springing from your camera lens, pencil or paintbrush. Peace, everyone.
Nice and simple–very effective.

Thank you! I did it while watching the O’s on TiVo yesterday. Double fun, as they won. π

Thanks, Teresa. It definitely needed something without the sky.

Thanks, Ann. It started out as water, but then it decided it wanted to be sky, so I went with it. Plan B!

I love Pelicans! I saw one today, flying over the river. It’s rare for me to see one locally, but it happens now and again. What a lovely coincidence to find one on your blog, too π
