I hope everyone enjoyed creating and viewing my talented friends’ creations this month! If you posted bird art in August, and do not see a link to your work here, then either I made a booboo, or I did not have a link to your work underneath my August 8 bird post in the comments section. Please add a link to your August Draw a Bird Day post in the comments here, though, and we’ll be sure to add you to the list!

I am taking a blogging break, although I hope to return soonish.    Are we all celebrating September and the advent of autumn’s flaming colors and cool breezes?    You know I am!   Peace and Happy Football Sunday to all!

  1. Hi Laura: Thanks for the DABD listing. I have missed you and your colorful paintings and happy thoughts but understand sometimes breaks are needed. I’ve been sending my happy thoughts your way in your absence and hope the summer has been kind to you. Looking forward to your return. Take care!

    1. Thanks Carrie, I hope you’re enjoying those Neocolors. Not sure if you’ve seen any bible art journaling videos, but people are apparently painting with a waterbrush right from the tips of those crayons. Pretty cool, huh? Looking forward to making art in a bible soon. :))

      1. I really have not played with the neocolors that much yet. Other than the color swatch I did, watching videos about it were the only things I have done. And yes, I’ve seen bible journaling using neocolors in instagram as some of my friends do it. Painting with the waterbrush from the tips of the crayons is a great making art materials go a long way. Woot! Looking forward to your bible journaling journey. 🙂

          1. hmmm. yes. I am feeling every bit of your drain. hugs. I bet in, 7- 10 more days and you should have a big drop in temps !!! oct 1 is the tipping point. you able to sleep ok, draw any, ? In summer – without proper AC, I get no house work accomplished. at all. no can do.

    1. Thank you, Kathy; I miss you too! I hope you’re keeping your lens warmed up and the birdies fed. Vic brought in four monarch caterpillars and we’ve been raising and launching them. Apparently it’s quite a movement because they are endangered. He bought a milkweed plant in the spring, which is their only food source. We thought we might see a caterpillar or two, but we had tons of them! Anyway I know you’re into butterflies, so I thought you might want to know about the milkweed. We have one left, he’s still in a chrysalis in the aquarium. He should be launching this weekend, most likely. An incredible thing to witness the life cycle!

  2. Hi Laura. I have been thinking of you recently because of your influence on my growth. There will be a future blog post (you know I’m not consistent in blogging), that I hope you have a chance to read. All the very best to you and I hope you are well.
